Movie Review - "Prisoners" - The Best We Can Get..!!

In 2013, Hollywood has grilled Bollywood really hard. Bollywood has only had 3 great movies this year so far, according to me, "The Lunchbox", "Madras Cafe" & "Special 26", whereas Hollywood has had movies which have made  bollywood, fighting a losing battle. Hollywood movies such as Oblivion, Man Of Steel, The Conjuring, Mud & many more, has made Bollywood movies look really small & this continues with the release of "Prisoners".
Well, anybody would want to see this movie by listening to the star cast. With names like Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, the expectations from a movie becomes higher & after seeing the movie i just can say 1 word.. "Wowwwwwwww"..!!

( Jake Gyllenhaal as Detective Loki & Hugh Jackman as Keller Dover)

The movie starts with Keller Dover played by Hugh Jackman, who is a very religious man & run a carpentery business & his happy family going to a Thanksgiving lunch, to their friend's house. Everything is going fine, everybody enjoying, children's playing & their daughters go out for a walk, Anna & Joy, with their  elder brother & sister, wheere Anna & Joy see an RV standing & they begin to play with it but they get back to their house. After some time, Anna & Joy, go to Anna's house to get her whistle, Dover & his friend ask about their daughters & they don't find them in the house & the kids never come back. All the people get tensed & shocking as everything was going so smooth & happily. They all start to suspect that the guy in the RV has abducted them. Police start searching for them, Detective Loki played by Jake Gyllenhaal, after some search they find that RV standing outside a gas station near the woods, with Alex played by Paul Dano, in the van. The detective gets him & gets him into custody & after having interrogation he finds out that, he cannot abduct the girls as Alex has an IQ of a 10 year old & when the detective tells Dover that he has to release him because of this thing, Dover reacts strongly, even saying the "F" word to the detective. After this, Dover takes the matter into his own hands by capturing Alex, from his house & capture him like a Prisoner & doing all the things necessary to get the truth out of it whereas his friend thinks that, this is wrong because we don't know that he is kidnapper or not but, Dover rejects & still make Alex captured in old house. Detective Loki, tries to find all the loose ends of this kidnapping & even goes to the house from where a young Billy was kidnapped 26 years ago, just as the same way, those girls were kidnapped. Now, i dont want to be a spoil sport & tell you everything & them, you would not be able to enjoy the movie.

The movie is directed by Dennis Villeneuve & seriously i would like to meet him & say "what a superb director you are". The story of the movie is really deep & he needed to find the way to make it look comprehensive on the screen & he has done full justice to it. Everything, the emotion that was need by parents, the detective, everyone was bang on target. The misery, the parents feel, you become a part of it. Screenplay is just phenomenal.

Now comes, the main part, the acting, the 2 lead stars Hugh Jackman & Jake Gyllenhaal, are both one of the best actors hollywood has & they show their awesome acting skills in "Prisoners". Hugh Jackman, playing a father, is one of the best roles he has done so far, strong, emotional, drooling sometime, in the scenes where he done everything that can be done to Alex, he looks vicious but miserable & mind you, when he cries, you'll cry for sure, too. I felt that. Jake Gyllenhaal as Detective Loki, does everything he can do, he is strong, ready to do anything. I think, its one of those mvoies, where you cannot tell, which lead actor was the best as both were good. the emotions they present on the screen feels like, the same that we would feel, if we are in a bad situation. But, the surprise comes from Paul Dano who plays Alex, the portrayal of Alex as a guy who has an IQ of a 10 year old, he acts superbly & you feel the misery of that guy to your core.

As a whole, "Prisoners" is the movie that you would want to see for its content, acting & emotions. you would not get better dramatic situations which looks real on screen. I don't any doubt that, it is the best mvoie i've seen this year. It got what was expected from me, A standing ovation, from me. GO, WATCH IT..!! FEEL THE EMOTIONS..!!

Movie Review - "The Lunchbox" - Sweet, Cute, Loving & Sheer Awesomeness..!!

So, The buzz was that "The Lunchbox" would go to the Oscars & i felt "Wow" it would be amazing, but the, after 2-3 days, the news came that a Gujarati movie "The Good Road" is the official entry from India, to the Oscars. So, their was a crazy feeling in my head to see the movie "The Lunchbox" asap. Finally, yesterday i was one of the lucky ones to see the movie & by seeing the movie i thought, "Why the hell this movie did not make it to The Oscars?". Some people asked me, is it really that good?, to those i say, YES..!! It is one of the finest movies, i've seen in years. Bollywood hasn't done this before. It never narrated a love story between 2 people, where they both haven't met. But, still you feel over-whelming feeling of completeness of emotions throughout the movie. The film is directed by Riteish Batra, a debut director, who has done a marvellous work.

(Irrfan Khan & Nawazzuddin Siddiqui in a scene from "The Lunchbox")

The Lunchbox, has seen a remarkable tour of the global festival circuit, including, Cannes, where it was chosen as "Critics Choice Best Movie". Playing the cupid here is, Food, yess heard it right, Food, in a tale of   an aging man, who is on the brink of his retirement & a housewife dividing here time between cooking & a loveless marriage. The only film that comes to mind that is drawn on the subject Food, is Stanley Ka Dabba, which is why "The Lunchbox" is such a unique experience. The screenplay of the movie is splendid & revolves around the "Dabbawallah" culture of Mumbai, Delivery men, who transports the lunchboxe's from housewives to their husbands. The system shows that the chances of wrong delivery is one in milions.

Such error lands the lunchbox of Ila, played by Nimrat Kaur, prepared for her husband on the table of Saajan Fernadez, played by Irrfan Khan, a government official & a loner who is just few months away from retiring. Ila gets to know about this mix-up soon enough, but doesn't tell to her husband, who would not care anyway, whereas, Fernandez doesn't mind this mix-up, as the hotel from which he gets his lunchbox, cannot cook meals as delicious. This continues & the 2 strangers begin to mix-up with each other & they start an unusual relationship, which we haven't seen in Indian cinema,  through the notes they regularly exchange in the lunchbox. In time, the notes begin to get more intimate & soon they start get to know more about each other's life, their problems etc. Irrfan Khan is just perfect in rendering a character far more than his actual age. He doesn't let things happen fastly, he evolves Fernandez from a grumpy old man to someone who finds hope in love. Nimrat Kaur, is beautifull, looks fresh & is been captured quite interestingly. She is a big reason that movie remains adorable.

The narration of this movie is enriched by some more more chaacters, who are essential in the movie, Nawazzuddin Siddiqui, plays Aslam in the movie, who is a good natured guy, a trainer who will take his seat after his retirement, he plays a vital role in Fernandez's transformation. But, the most awesomest character is of "Uparwali Aunty ji", in whole movie you won't get to see her, she only talks to Ila through the windows, when she cooks. Bharti Achrekar's voice is a class voice act as auntyji.

Ritesh Batra's grasp of imagery belies the fact that he is a debutant, as Mumbai comes alive in its crowded locals, children playing cricket on the streets, rickshaws and ramshackle taxis. The imagining of the localities Fernandez and Ila reside in is quietly used to define their socio-cultural divide. Overall, the tone maintained never misses the point that The Lunchbox is essentially a love story. GO, DON'T MISS THIS ONE..!!

Movie Review - "RUSH" (2013) - A Thrilling Ride Worth Riding..!!

The movie's trailer i saw, just 1 week back & i thought Woww..!!, it's made on 1 of the sport that i love. The story revolves around the 2 of the sport's legendary icons, James Hunt & Nicki Lauda & their rivalry in 1976 season of Formula 1 Racing Championship. The rivalry between the 2, was as furious like we saw in modern times between "Michael Schumacher & Rubens Barrichello" in many seasons they have participated. Lauda & Hunt, were fiercely superb drivers. Well, the movie can be glamourise to the extent when it is made on a sport like "Formula 1", well we cannot blame the sport in it given the nature of the sport which has speed, adrenaline rush & super sonic roaring engines, hot pit girls & super sexy F1 cars. On the the other hand, it's more difficult to de-glamourise it & make it a heart throbbing & super duper awesome "Documentary".

( Chris Hemshworth as James Hunt (left)  & Daniel Bruhl as Nicki Lauda)

The director of the movie, Ron Howard doesn't get deep into both categories. I must, tell you to make a movie in F1 racing, to get that pace going like in the actual race we see is really difficult, as no one is a professional driver, driving at the speed 300 km/hr, the splendid execution of Ron Howard, gives this story a right balance to give a movie which is not just Awesome, but visually stunning, intense, edgy & heroically entertaining, same as Formula 1 Racing & its championship. While the sport has become much more safer than it wa sin 1970's, but one thing thas has remained constant int his super event is the rivalry between the Drivers. This was the case between, a super notorious, a casanova, a playboy like character "James Hunt" played by Chris Hemsworth & his superbly talented Australian driver & rival "Nicki Lauda" played by Daniel Bruhl. the movie mainly revolves about their identities, their ideologies & the battle between these 2 legends for the 1976 F1 season Championship & there spirit to win the championship which take them to the extreme.

You will witness the real lives of the F1 drivers, on & off track. The story-telling of this movie gets to the depth to the characters, which leave you emotionally & mentally glued to them. You will feel their fears & vulnerabilty. The most awesomest thing in this movie is it's cinematography, which takes the movie to an awesome new-level, be it scene where you see wheel to wheel, racing in rain & even the car crashes, they just look WOW..!! The persformances of bothe main lead, is just like, if you haven't seen them in real life, you'll say, that they are the real Hunt & Lauda.

The movie "RUSH" starts from the pole position, maintains the momentum & make to the chequered flag with a podium finish. Lond after, the movie is over, you don't think about death, rivalry. You just think about 2 champions, who didn't race for a living but, they lived because they loved the racing. The most thrilling ride, i've ever seen..!! Go guys, grab the ticket & see it.. It's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..!!

Movie Review - "Grand Masti" - A Poor Trick Played On Us..!!

Well, As for yesterday i saw, "Shuddh Desi Romance", was not so good, but still came with a happy face. But, today i feel like kicking myself on a my butt, for actually seeing "GRAND MASTI" in a theatre. But, the thing is we cannot blame the directors & producers of the movie, as they have been selling & promoting the movie for having non-stop adult humour, but what we can blame them for many loopholes.

( Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani & Riteish Dekshmukh in a song from the movie)

Grand Masti, as we know is a sequel made of the 2004 hit movie "Masti", which had some of the adult moments in the movie but was really funny. But, let me take you through "Grand Masti", the movie starts with the scene, where college students Amar played by Riteish Deshmukh, Meet played by Vivek Oberoi & Prem played by Aftab Shivdasani, are teaching their juniors that how to have a great time at college. So, when they all say 'A' stands for, umm well this is not what you will expect, but when they say that the camera zooms into the girl's backside & there is a bulk of close-up of girls wearing hot pants or sometimes even lesser to that. As soons as they move forward to 'B' & then you can expect where the camera will go & it goes there. The opening scene sets the ball roliing & you can expect what is going to happen next, to a greater level. Then, we see, all of them out of the college, they all are married, but they don't have what they needed i.e., "A Great Sex Life". So, their last hope revives when they are called to their college's Reunion & the college name is  "Shree Lalchand University of Technology & Science", which they call, hold on to your breaths, "SLUTS". Well, they start to chase 3 girls, named Rose, Mary & Marlowe of course pronounced as, oh you know, what is prounounced.

Well, we knew what to expect from the movie, since the posters & trailer came out, but the main problem is the humour in this movie is forced & cheap, & by god, cheap has a new level now after this movie. Throughout the movie, the close-up of Male & Female, private parts leaves you disgusted. I would happily enjoy an "Adult comedy" if it is funny but the makers didn't knew abot the difference between cheap & funny.

This is a not-feel-good movie & should be missed, but if you want to see it, Its your wish..!! It's just stupidity to a new level..!!

Tell, me about your views, about the movie..!!  :)

Movie Review - "Shuddh Desi Romance" - Good, But Not So Good..!!

Okay, First up, there is nothing "Shuddh" in this movie, there's only "Desi Romance". The number of kisses in this movie can embarass anybody not just anybody, even Emraan Hashmi. The story revolves around the brave & happening youngsters & not to forget, Unemployed, who are just enjoying their lives by doing all the fun, even going as fake guests & even dancing in the baraat.

(Parineeti & Sushant in a still from "Shuddh Desi Romance")

Raghu, played by Sushant Singh Rajput, who is suffering from some pre-marital nervousness & is really not sure what should he do, he then finally find the courage to tell his problem to Gayatri played by Parineeti Chopra. As they, discuss this problem, they kiss & they fall in love, almos..!! Raghu, who is all-set to marry her gorgeous partner, Tara played by Vaani Kapoor, just runs away from her marriage. After he runs, Gayatri & Raghu, meet again & they try to hit it off & they really hit it off & they decide to get married, but here comes the twist in the tale, this time when they are about to get married, this time Gayatri gets cold feet & runs away, while, Tara comes back & this confusion, well we should say enough confusion keeps you glued to your seat.

The real, little magic, comes from the writing of Jaideep Sahni & Manessh Sharma's direction, these 2 are the only reasons, that the movie turns out the way it is. The director, gets out really awesome performances from his actors. The most awesomest thing about the movie is the comic timing of the actors, it just hit "Bang-on" target, everytime. Sushant Singh Rajput, took his acting to higher point from "Kai Po Che", in which also, he was very good but this time, he is effortless. Parineeti, has already proved her mantle in acting, starting from "Ladies v/s Ricky Behl" & "Ishaqzaade", but this time she plays a great rebel, & proves that she is one of the best actresses int he industry today. Vaani Kapoor, is a fresh face & is debuting from this movie, well you can fall in love with her just by seeing her, but she really surprises with her acting skills & does superbly & we can say she made a superb & remarkable debut.

Shuddh Desi Romance, is a really fresh concept with a today's generation story. But, still movie lacks in its execution, somehwere everybody would feel, the movie is good but not what they expected.

Go & Watch it for a fresh concept & really fabulous acting..!!

The Year When Hollywood Takes Over..!! (2013)

The 2013 year has been good for Hollywood movies, as we are half way into 2013, this is seeming to be a great year for hollywood movies. These are the 8 movies that, i've seen & i've really loved till now. All the movies are seen by me, already. So, here it goes:

1. Django Unchained

The Best Movie of 2013, for me so far, some would be thinking that it released in 2012, but i would like to remind you that in India it released in March 2013. As, i only saw Reservoir Dogs of Quentin Tarantino. I will not lie that i only went to see this as it was nominated in Oscars. So, i went to see it & i was totally blown after seeing it. Tremendous acting, Superb Dialogues, Catchy Background Music & Tarantino's Classic Direction, made this movie a worth watch even, when it was close to 3 hours. Th film's plot revolves around slaves, slave trading, mandingo wrestling. The acting, well if you have perfect actors like Jamie Foxx who plays the lead role of "Django", Christopher Waltz as "Dr. King Schultz", Django's aid & a bounty hunter, Leonardo DiCaprio as "Calvin Candie", a mandingo fighter enthusiast & a cruel plantation owner. This is the jouney of Django who goes around with Schultz to bring back his wife back from cruel Calvin Candie. This movie has some of the best action moments in cinematic history, with great story & Tarantino's superb & stylish story telling about "Revenge". Christopher Waltz won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role.

2. The Place Beyond The Pines

Well, I really didn't know about this movie at all. A friend of mine said that you should see this. So, i downloaded it. And, what i see is then a total superb journey of crime & drama, i've seen in recent times. The cast included all the actors who are superbly talented & have proved their mantle in Hollywood, Ryan Gosling as "Luke Glanton", Bradley Cooper as "Avery Cross" & Eva Mendes as "Romina". The movie is considered to be the one of the most awesomest movies of 2013 so far by every corner of this world. And, yes, it is the most promising movie of this year, with people having no expectations, what they got was like a "treasure" for them.

3. The Great Gatsby

The only thing i knew about this movie was that it was based upon a nove of the same name by Scott Fitzgerald, written in 1925. But, the only thing that made me want to see this movie were the lead cast "Leonardo DiCaprio" & "Tobey Maguire". Now, who would not want to see these 2 legendary actors in 1 frame. The movie revolves around the life & times of a millionaire "Jay Gatsby" played by DiCaprio & his neighbour "Nick" played by "Tobey Maguire". The movie was not so well-received by the critics but for me, it had some of most awesomest moments that you will see in a movie & also the finest example of using 3D in a movie, not being a superhero or any sci-fi movie, the movie had the best ever moments of 3D you will ever see. Spectacular Sets, Mind-blowing acting by Lead cast & superb music. It is a must-watch.

4. Star Trek: Into Darkness

The only movie which i wanted to see only when i saw it's teaser. So, This film starts with the USS Enterprise, which has been sent to survey the planet "Nibiru".. the film starts with a promising note with a nicely & superbly built Enterprise...With great action sequences, im looking forward to...Just then, Spock's life is in danger when on the planet Nibiru, the volcano erupts, which exposes Enterprise to whole civilization of that planet & Pike is demoted & reinstated as commanding officer...Section 31 is bombed & we see, Pike attending a meeting on Starfleet.. This is just the beginning of the awesomeness of this movie... Starfleet, is assaulted by air...Resulting in death of PIKE.. They also see the glimpse of the attacker, who mysteriously transports himself, when he is approached...Top Starfleet boss Admiral Marcus, fully aware that the unpredictable Kirk is once again in the Captain’s chair of the Enterprise due to Pike’s demise, dispatches the Enterprise and its crew off to Klingon space to kill Harrison, whom they’ve discovered hiding there..Making matters more tangled still, Admiral Marcus loads a bunch of newfangled, never-before-used photon torpedoes aboard the Enterprise, allegedly for use in battle. Harrison is eventually taken into custody rather than killed. Harrison” is really Khan, a genetically re-engineered Superman with evil and conquest on his mind, albeit for a seemingly valid reason & now the Surprise thing, that will really surprise you is this reboot, is actually based on a reboot itself named Star Trek: Wrath Of The Khan"(which was Awesome as well).. In Action, Into Darkness. Exceeds Wrath Of The Khan. With a surprisingly great ensemble cast, terrific special effects, and generally sure-handed direction by J. J. Abrams, “Star Trek: Into Darkness”..With Great Performances From Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock. Quinto, who acts Strongly, but looks confused at times cozz the film demands it. But, the best performance comes from Benedict Cumberbatch as KHAN. He is the only guy who coluld have portrayed a role like this. Super, Scintillating, Good Action, Good Acting, Awesome Direction.

5. Oblivion

Some would challenhe this choice of mine, but, according to me this movie was twice better than Iron Man 3. The film revolves around the lives of Jack Harper played by Tom Cruise & Victoria Olsen played by Andrea Riseborough as both overlook drones & all the machines, on the earth in the year 2077. The earth has been destroyed, what remains is in-habitable, who are still fighting with some Scavengers who are still on the earth & making the things worse. But, Jack & Victoria tend to believe that they are the only 2 present on earth but gets shocked when Jack sees that there are more than 500 also present who dress as scavengers & tend to gather things which they need. The journey of Jack, starts from here, to know the truth. The film gathered interests from the audiences with its superb visuals & effects, it was absolutely a visual treat watch this movie by all acpects. Superb Acting by all the cast members, Tom Cruise, Andrea Riseborough, Olga Kurylenko & Morgan Freeman. With Awesome Twists waiting for you in the 2nd half of the movie, You're in for treat.

6. Mud

Mud is a 2012 American coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Jeff Nichols. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Tye Sheridan, Sam Shepard, and Reese Witherspoon. The film competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. It was shown at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2013. After its Cannes premiere, no distributor immediately purchased rights to release the film in the United States. By August 2012, Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions acquired rights to distribute Mud in the United States. In January 2013, Mud screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, and the Austin American-Statesman reported, "His modern take on Mark Twain played to an enthusiastic sold-out crowd of more than 500 people".

7. Man Of Steel

The movie that all we've been waiting for, when the news was out that Superman is gonna return to the big screen & what made it special was the name "Christopher Nolan". The Movie starts from the scene of the birth of Kal-El(Clark Kent/Superman). The First Natural Birth On the Planet "Krypton" in Centuries. As Krypton planet, is on the verge of getting destroyed cozz the core of the place has been de-stabilized. General Zod, the army-general of the army needs "The Codex" to re-build this planet nd get control over Krypton...But, Jor-El(Father Of Kal-El) takes the Codex nd mix his Son's skin cells with codex nd mix it with him nd make him escape in a ship, to planet "Earth", while in a battle with Zod, Jor-El loses his life & Zod is put into Prison or a Black hole for treason & the Krypton is destroyed.. The ship carrying Kal-El, reaches Earth...Jonathan & Martha Kent, adopts Kal-El nd name him "Clark Kent" & is told that, Not to show his other side cozz the world is not yet ready for it. But, in an accident, when the school bus in which Clark & other students, get its tyre burst nd fall into the the river, Clark lifts the bus nd take it out from the River. Superb Scene, then we see, Clark, going places & places to seek the truth about himself. He finally finds out & we see the mighty Superman suit for the first time. Then the journey of a superhero starts..
With superb & mind-blowing effects. The best action scenes i've ever seen..Great Fighting Scenes in mid-air with punches over & over again.. Best Fight Scenes i've seen after such a long time. Awesome performances. Henry Cavill as Superman. looks like a superman in real too with great acting, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, looks grear. Russell Crowe as Jor-El, is superb. Hans Zimmer, does it again with His backgroud scores.. Zack snyder, David Goyer & Chirstopher Nolan, The Deadly Trio, does a magical work in this movie.

8. The Conjuring

The Conjuring is a 2013 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Ed and Lorraine Warren who were American paranormal investigators and authors associated with prominent cases of haunting. Their reports inspired the Amityville Horror. The Warrens come to the assistance of the Perron family (Ron Livingston & Lili Taylor), who are experiencing increasingly disturbing events in their farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island in 1971. The movie has all the freaking that you would love to see, but not experience it in real & it gets more intense when you get ti know that it is a real story. Superb Acting, Story-line, Mind-blowing background score & the whole movie was outstanding & will spook your guts out. The film went on to take $41.5 million during its opening weekend, breaking The Purge's previous record as the biggest opening for an original R-rated horror film. While horror films usually drop at least 50 percent over their second weekend, The Conjuring only dropped 47 percent to $22.2 million.

These are the Top 8 movies of 2013, so far that i've loved & also that have released here in INDIA. I just hope to see some of the movies which have released in US & other countries, who are talked to be some of the great movies in recent times..!! Tell me, your favourites of 2013, till now..!! Waiting for your views.!

From Today, i'm starting a new series of articles which will tell about the TV Series, which are my favourite & your favourite. From Frasier to The Sopranos, Everybody Loves Raymond To The Big Bang Theory. But, im gonna start form the series which is, i think, was & is still the most loved series of all time, yess u thought right, its, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (My personal Favourite)

The series started in 1994 directed by Marta Kauffman & David Crane which aired on NBC on 22nd September 1994 & Ended on 6th May 2004. The plot of this sitcom revolves around the group of friends living in Manhattan. The directors started this project with a different names for this series, "Insomnia Cafe'. After several script rewrites, it included second title change to "Friends Like Us" but the series was finally titled "Friends". The shooting took place in Warner Bros. Studios in California, in front of a live audience. Friends received praises from all the corners of the world & became one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. The series is all about 6 friends named, "Rachel" played by "Jennifer Aniston", "Monica Gellar" played by Courtney Cox & "Pheobe Buffay" by "Lisa Kudrow" in female lead. In male lead, "Joey Tribianni" played by "Matt LeBlanc", "Chandler Bing" played by "Matthew Perry" & "Ross Gellar" played by "David Schwimmer".  Their original contracts for the first season, cast members were paid $22,500 per episode. The cast members received different salaries in the second season, beginning from the $20,000 range to $40,000 per episode. Before their salary negotiations for the third season, the cast decided to enter collective negotiations, despite Warner Bros.' preference for individual deals. The actors were given the salary of the least-paid cast member, meaning Aniston and Schwimmer had their salaries reduced. The stars were paid $75,000 per episode in season three, $85,000 in season four, $100,000 in season five, $125,000 in season six, $750,000 in seasons seven and eight, and $1 million in seasons nine and ten. Series creator David Crane wanted all six actors to be equally prominent, and the series was lauded as being "the first true 'ensemble' show". The cast members made efforts to keep the ensemble format and not allow one member to dominate; they entered themselves in the same acting categories for awards, opted for collective salary negotiations, and asked to appear together on magazine cover photos in the first season.

Cast (From Left)-- Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Courtney Cox (Monica Gellar), David Schwimmer (Ross Gellar), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) & Matthew Perry (Chandler).

(The Last Scene Of The Finale Episode)

All the characters were unique on their parts, like "Joey" was the dumb & funny one, "Rachel" was a fashionable & rich one, "Chandler" was the one with Sarcasm, "Monica" was the Bossy one, "Ross" was the science & dinosaur freak & "Phoebe" was the freaky one.
The series won many awards and was nominated for 63 Primetime Emmy Awards. The series, an instant hit from its debut, was also very successful in the ratings, consistently ranking in the top ten in the final primetime ratings. Many critics now regard it as one of the finest shows in television history, including TV Guide, which ranked it No. 21 on their latest of the 50 greatest TV shows of all time. In 1997, the episode "The One With The Prom Video" was ranked No. 100 on TV Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes Of All Time. The series made a large cultural impact, which continues today. The Central Perk coffee house that was featured prominently in the series has inspired various imitations throughout the world.

For me, This was & is the best show in TV history as it showed the real friendship, with the mix of sex, sarcasm, dinosaurs, weirdness & emotions. every character had their own moments which will crack you up & make you emotional as well..  :)  <3
