Movie Review - "Ragini MMS 2" - No Horror, Only Sunny Leone!

So, i get to know from some of my friends that "Ragini MMS 2" is India's first Horrex movie. I was surprised, Horrex? So, they said Horrex means Horror + Sex. But, then i thought the time it was announced that Sunny Leone will be in this movie we all thought that there would be sex, i don't know about the horror. And when you see this movie what you get is 80% sex & 20% horror. Whereas the prequel had some seriously horror scenes & made you tensed around the whole movie but, this one makes  you feel like stupid & is bit funny. But, that's not what we are here for. We are left with a movie in which the aurdience will scream from stress not from fear.

With all the promotions & trailers you must have seen of the movie you will feel that the movie exists because there is Sunny Leone. I don't know why this movie has been made, yes if the Director Bhushan Patel & writers thought that to not to get spooked & see Leone playing with herself in the movie than they have got their plot right, because there is a flood of scenes where Leone walks in panties, exposes through cleavage exposing tops in a haunted house.

For the story, it hasn't got any story, but nevermind. Rocks played by "Parvin Dabas" is a Director who wants to film the story of Ragini & Uday on the big screen & he want to shoot in the same house where the incidents happened & gets permission & is shooting there. He has roped up Sunny Leone to play the role Ragini in the movie & also a failed novelist Satya played "Sahil Prem" for writing the screenplay of the movie. And here is the best part, none of them, the writer of that movie & the writer of this movie have done their job. But, yess we can say that Sunny wants us to feel that she is to be taken serious as an actress, so she goes to the asylum to meet the real Ragini. So, what we see after that are the things that didn't go too well. Then, there's a psychiatrist played by Divya Dutta, who doesn't look like a psychiatrist but a CIA agent. And the rest is history, a very dull history.

The main reason that the movie is a dumb & dull experience because it takes a lot from the last year's stupendously stunning horror flick "The Conjuring" which is regarded a blockbuster  throughout the world & in India specially, the movie did so well that the movie was in the theatres with packed houses for almost 1&1/2 months. As you see some of the scenes from Ragini MMS 2, you get to know that it is being copied & you get to know the back story really soon. We don't go to see a horror movie & have a great laugh in the movie but this is where Ragini MMS 2 does a decent work & it doesn't take the horror genre too seriously, it has some genuine funny moments(Specially the horror in the movie).

Well as for the acting Karan Mehra & Sandhya Mridul are successful in providing the needed comic relief . Parvin Dabas has done a good job portraying as a director but has a really limited part. Sunny Leone, is not put-out from her comfort zone. So, All in all the movie has nothing new to offer. People who are going to see the movie, i have a tiny suggestion for them : Go to the market, Buy the DVD of "The Conjuring" & see it. It will provide you 100 times more entertainment & make you horrified in the end. That's what a Horror Movie is.

SKIP! RAGINI MMS 2!

Cast - Sunny Leone, Sandhya Mridul, Parvin Dabas, Karan Mehra

Movie Review - "Bewakoofiyan" - "Please Don't Be A Bewakoof"

So, The thing is i'm literally bored of seeing a "Bollywood" romantic movie because they are all the same. Every movie has a "tag line" , "Most Hatke Love Story" but all you get is that old boring stuff only. This might be the shortest review that i have written till now, because "There is nothing much to tell about this movie". But, one thing that this movie has is that "This movie looks beautiful" only visually. This is the USP of a Yash Raj movies is they present the movie really beautifully. Actually, they always do the just justice to their rom-com's by adding a very colorful experience on the screen, even when the movie is pathetic.

Let's go with the story first, well here we get a surprise, "It's got no story". Mohit played by "Ayushmann Khurana" & Myra played by Sonam Kapoor  is a young Delhi couple who are madly in love with each other. Mohit works with an airline company but when recession hits, he loses his job. After losing his job, he is always short on hard cash & his plastic money, i mean, credit card limit gets exhausted. So since he was a senior executive in his company, he is not ready to take a job of a lower level. Myra lends him some money to pay his dues as she is the one in the duo who is earning now. But, what you see is that, Mohit is not looking for a job now as you don't see him job-hunting & that feels so stupid. After not having a job, we only see the couple singing songs & dancing. Please, if a guy loses his job in today's time, the girlfriend won't even be near a guy like him.  everyone

The third & the most important character in this movie is Myra's father V.K. Sehgal played by none other than "Rishi Kapoor". He is actually a government employee & he like to throw big names & loves to flaunt his big-big contacts to everyone. When he comes to know about his daughter's love, he gets furious he doesn't want his daughter an ordinary guy & not with someone who is rich.

So, the conclusion is if you have seen the posters & trailer of this movie, so it seems you have seen the whole movie. There is just nothing beyond it. What just saves you from this is Rishi Kapoor's acting from this very dull movie & makes it just dull. He is the star of this movie. Sonam Kapoor looks really gorgeous on the screen & has done okay work & Ayushmann also plays his part well. But, they both can't do nothing because the plot given to them is popular. Even the music of this movie is not worthy.

So, in the end! PLEASE SKIP THIS MOVIE!

Cast - Rishi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana
Director - Nupur Asthana
My Rating - ** (One for the movie & one for Rishi Kapoor)

Movie Review - "QUEEN" - This Queen Will Take Your Heart Away!

Well, to be honest when i saw this movie's trailer i didn't expect anything from this movie & if i say frankly, nobody did. The only 2 things that got the audience's attention were "Kangana Ranaut" & "London Thumakda"(song of the movie). But, what people got was "Sheer Awesomeness". Just to be clear, "The Film Is Super Amazing". When you see the movie name "Queen" don't actually believe it is a story of a real queen But, she is like a typical Delhi girl living next door. So, now i move on with the review.

So, the movie's story & life goes like this. Rani played by ever-so charming "Kangana Ranaut", who is a Typical-Delhi girl from Delhi's Rajouri Garden area. Her father own a sweet shop, his friend always says "Rani bitiya is very sweet" & she really is. But, according to her & in her own words, Rani has always been a sincere & good girl, she listens to everyone, does what is said to her & in this she has never done anything for herself, not a thing that she likes or even go to a place where she wants to be, in the world for herself & you just fall in love with her when you see her. So, the first thing she does by herself is "LOVE". So she falls in love with a boy named Rajesh played by "Rajkumar Rao" & oh god, he does everything possible within his power to show that he loves her too. After their romance, the moment of "Rani Weds Rajesh" comes. But, in all this Rajesh is now a UK return & that makes his behaviour a little weird now & that is the reason behind his new found "Modernity". So, upon his return now he feels after his trip that Rani is no-longer his type. And, just 2 days before her marriage, he decides not marrying her. So, understood, Rani is bits into pieces. After whole lot of crying, soon the tears dry. The next day, she opens the box of "Shaadi Ke Laddos"& while she eats them, she thinks that "The hell that has happened, she would still live happily & decides to go on her honeymoon to Amsterdam & Paris & that too, alone.

Her so concerned parents give her the permission. So, after a bumpy ride, she lands in Paris & after seeing the place & the people of Paris, she allows herself to laugh & smile. Soon, she meets another indian girl named "Vijaylakshmi" played by the dusky indian beauty "Lisa Hayden". She works in a hotel & lives with her son she has from her marriage & divorced. After learning so much from her & essentially how to be happy. So then, she flies to "Amsterdam" & accidently she comes across Rajesh. So, after seeing her like this, Rajesh regrets his decision of leaving her. So, he enters into his previous mode & decides to get back his Rani, oh i mean, Queen. So, now the whole movie revolves around the question that "Will Rani leave her new discovered life, for a man who left her stranded her just before 2 days of the marriage ? The whole movie posts this question quite awesomely.

Kangana is the backbone of this movie, she has a fabulous work in playing Rani. She gives yet another proof to his audience's that she means business & now she is to be taken seriously. But, the thing that makes her role standout is the way she looks "Natural" in her portrayal of a typical Delhi girl without any make-up & the jeans from Lajpat Nagar. You just fall in love with her. Rajkumar Rao & Lisa Hayden, are also perfect in their roles.

The director, Vikas Bahl, now he is the guy to watch out for, he has not left a scope for a scene to be made fanstastic. Everything is perfectly scripted & shot. The music of Amit Trivedi is great too, speciall wen you her "London Thumakda" on the screen, you just want to pop out of your seat & dance along.

After a very long time, you have a Hindi Bollywood Movie which highly satisfying! HIGHLY RECOMMENED!
